Steppin' Spiral 33 Slipmat

Regular price $15.00

This slipmat is also a phenakistoscope, an early animation device that creates the illusion of a moving picture when a camera's shutter blurs its rotation.

The spokes of the spiral will appear to break apart & rejoin when seen in the right conditions at 33RPM.

To view the illusion, watch the spinning disc through your camera phone. You can also use a strobe light app to see with the naked eye. Detailed viewing instructions here.
